DUCK YEAH!
Café Bones’ Just Duck is… *drumroll please*…
JUST DUCK! Absolutely, positively nothing else!
Our wonderful duck treats are made from human grade Australian skinless duck breast fillets. Arguably the best duck treat money can buy, they are just Ducking Brilliant!
Great for puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and seniors to use as treats or for training. Easily cut into smaller pieces means you have portion control, or feed whole as a great chewy treat.
These delicious skinless treats are thinly sliced and dehydrated slowly in small batches, then packed locally by us. Just as flavourful as they are nutritious.
Did you know, skinless duck breast fillets are even lower in fat than chicken breast fillets, yet more nutritious and lower in cholesterol? What’s more is that Duck can be considered a novel protein in most cases for pets with intolerances to common proteins! What The Duck?! A favourite amongst water dogs for centuries, and now everyone else is catching on!
Finally, DUCK is not a typo!
May be suitable for pets with pancreatitis only after consulting your veterinarian
Our skinless duck fillets are low in fat, rich in protein, and high in minerals and vitamins, complimenting a well-balanced, healthy diet.
We all think of duck as a fatty but delicious meat, (well most of us do) but you’d be surprised at how low in fat duck can be! Ducks carry a lot of fat on the outer layers by nature’s design so the skin free fillets have little to no fat marbling, making a skinless duck fillet even lower in fat than it’s chicken counterpart by a humble, but still impressive 1% average!
What else? Duck meat is lower in cholesterol and sodium and yes, these treats are still strictly petfood only! There are also the little-known facts like duck meat being higher in iron, copper, vitamin B1 and B2 than chicken. All essential nutrients to maintain healthy bodies. Don’t think the humble chicken doesn’t bring some magic tricks to the party as well. That’s still a regular favourite, but is a story for another day, and another bag of treats
What are Novel Proteins?
A novel protein is one that a pet has not been regularly exposed to, meaning the immune system is less likely to recognise it as a threat. Food allergies typically develop after repeated exposure to common proteins like beef or chicken, where the body begins to react to them. Introducing a different protein can reduce the likelihood of that response. Duck can be considered a novel protein, which may be suitable for pets with sensitivities to more common meats, particularly if they haven’t been previously exposed to it.
Please note, too much of a good thing is still too much of a good thing. As with all treats, feed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

While incidents with pet treats are rare, we can’t guarantee that any treat is completely risk-free. We recommend keeping an eye on your pets while they enjoy any treats, including ours. Always provide plenty of fresh water since our treats are dry and will rehydrate in their stomach. Just like we need a drink after eating something dry, so do our pets. Remember that although the treat may appear small, its original protein size was 3-5 times larger. Adjust your dog’s diet accordingly, and remember that treats, no matter how great, are not a substitute for a balanced meal.
